| | Dunno about Deluxe Paint II, but with III it varies from one
driver to the next how much DPaint overrides with it's print
menu. I've got an LJ250 on loan and and a Quadram Quadjet.
They both require different futzing to get exactly the output
you want (but I have always been able to get what I wanted if
I was willing to hassle with it long enough).

In particular, you will probably have to mess with the height and
width percentages in the DPaint print dialog box. You'll need
preferences set to fraction scaling (as you have done) to make
    this work, probably.

    What printer are you using?

I am using an LA75. So Deluxe Paint (III) overrides the printout size settings
in Preferences? Ugh.

| 5374.3 | Try setting pixel size | RIPPLE::LUKE_TE | Terry Luke SLO (Utah) | Sun Jan 26 1992 22:52 | 15 |
| | Try using the preferences settings on the graphics 2 screen and set it
to pixels. Every 185 pixels (approx.) is an inch across the 8 1/2 inch
width and 180 pixels is an inch down the 11 inch length. I can't
remember on DPaint II if you can set the pixels in the printer setup (I
don't think so), but it might work. If not, there is a program called
PRTPIC (which I think I got off of EOT) which will let you print an IFF
file with any parameters you wish. It has the added functionality of
printing the file without loading it into chipram, so you can use it as
a background printer for graphics while you're still painting another
one (or doing something else) You can also execute a script file to
print multiple files in batch mode and go away and they will be done
    when you come back.

    Terry,

| | What about saving the image as an IFF file and using PRTPIC or a screen dump
which should obey preferences.
PRTPIC is a PD utility for sending IFF's to your preferences printer. I use it
all the time to print to an LJ250. I believe it should not over ride your
preferences settings.

Thanks! I'll try both suggestions.
