Thought I start a new topic on the A2630 card...
In the manual it says that it possible to add a daughter memory
card to the back of the A2630....
No one at the moment produces one BUT I spoke to a PD library
and this guy is saying he is going to import a card soon to be produced
that will allow upto 64 Megs on the card...???!!!
The first question I come up with is HOW ...!!I was under the
impression that the system is limited to a MAX of 8-Meg...and therefore
the A2630 had a limit of 8-Megs ...
(so how do the GVP's have upto 32-megs of 32-bit memory AUTOCONFIGURING)
If I put an 8-UP fully populated in my system I only see 8-megs (4
Megs 32-bit and 4-meg 16-bit)
The infomation I was told was that this would also make the card
faster....???!!!

Actualy, you can buy a 32MByte expansion/daughter board for your 2630
from a german company called 'Ralph Jogheim Computertuning'...
It was offered at the expo in Kln a few months back.
It was populated with 4Meg and upgradable up to 32Meg in 4Meg steps.
The price for the 4Meg-populated board was about US$800...
(too much for me at the moment so i'll have to cope with 7Meg now ;-)
If you want me to, I can lookup ano of their adds pretty easy and give
you some more info on the company (phone/fax numbers etc..)
Just let me know.
Ave,
Frank

Allright guys, here's the add (i'll have to translate it from one
foreign language into another, so please excuse me for som errors ;*)

-Simply connect it to your A2630

| 5266.4 | Another 32bit expansion card for the A2630 | LODGE::LEN | David M. Len | Tue Dec 17 1991 19:27 | 6 |
Someone at DKB Software said they will be selling a 32bit memory
expansion card for the Commodore A2630 accelerator board. He claims it
can be populated to 128MB.
DBK Software is the company that does MegAChip 2000, MultiStart, and
SecurKey.
