| | Seems like there are lots of flight sim fans here then!

I've got F15 II, F29 and Falcon. I find it hard to decide which is
better; F15 II or F29. Falcon takes a back seat (though Falcon 2 with
landscape contours may be a different story). Anyone got any
preferences ? Is there a sim that beats these 2 ?

When's Birds of Prey coming out ? I think that'll be particularly good
but unless they've gone for contours too, Falcon 2 will be the better
    buy when it's released.

Just for the record, can't STAND Flight Sim 2!

David, mentioning PC's and Amiga's in the same sentence!
 I have recently upgraded from a A500 1meg twin floppy exp to ;
A1500 + s/w (some good some bad, liked sim city)
2090a controller (because it was cheap!) + 40 meg disk
   supraRam with 2 meg installed.
 Main uses;
dialling in , games, Video (but I keep sending Genlocks back because I get fed
up with the short cables), creating answer phone messages, graphics and
  wordpro.
 Would like;
A very good DTP package that would give good postscript output, be very
intuitive (because I tend to have spells where I don't use the machine) and
include good graphics support. Dictionary, theosaurus etc go without saying.
More mem to run the above with!

As with some previous replies, bought for my son's birthday - still haven't
quite convinced him that it is a computer, although we've managed to drive
a little bit of AmigaDOS through the TV remote control (seriously!). Desperately
awaiting a keyboard.

This is truely a family computer. The only one who doesn't use it is
the cat, but I'm working on that ... I'm sure I can teach him to use a
    mouse!

The children use it for Games, painting, drawing, music and database
    (Infofile).

My wife uses it to prepare lessons and handouts, usually with Prowrite.

... and I use it to dial in to work (using VLT), DTP, Database work for
church administration and other activities like Flight Sims etc. for
    relaxation.

I think that the real advantage of the Amiga is that it is good at
almost everything from Games to serious DTP and Video. To get
professional software on a PC you need to pay several times the price.

Personally I'm no whizz on the Amiga, but keep an interest in this
    Conference.

By the way, I recently found out the price of a second-hand VR241
monitor in the UK: 82.25 pounds sterling (inc VAT). This was an
employee purchase, but strangely no discount was shown. Perhaps they
don't discount second-hand goods for employees.

My real reason for logging in here is that I need to work from home,
and ideally would like to use the Amiga rather than take extra kit
home, other than a modem. So, if I want to set up the Amiga using
Smokey, how do I get the emulation software into the Amiga? So any help
    would be appreciated.

Only just bought the Amiga from a friend, who bought it for his son
last Christmas but decided it was to complicated (who am I to argue). I
has remained in its boxes unused except for a quick try to make sure it
worked. everything cost him 800 pounds plus sold to me for 350 it
    includes

Amiga 500 with Commodore 512k upgrade
    Phillips Colour monitor
Midi music interface inc Mr T software (not wanted if anyones
    interested)
    Tons of books
    Box of blanks
Loads of software in wp, d,base, spreadsheets (this for an 11 year old
kid) plus a few games, flight sims and deluxe paint 111

Intend to get another external drive and hard drive in the near future
and a printer one day soon.

By the way the guy that sold me the above got a Christmas bonus last
year in excess of 500.000 yes you read that right half a million, more
    money than sense.
