Yup, it can handle the modem with no problem with that configuration. You should
be able to max out your cps rate with no worries...

|     I've been running that exact configuration myself, works great!  I get
    Zmodem transfer rates of 1600+ char/sec (sustained) in HST mode.  A
    Fish disk download takes less than 5 minutes...
