Hi,
This conference is much too big so I didn't check out if this question
is asked before (if it is I apologize).
Can anyone explain how I can put public software off the net and
get it on my amiga using a PC (which can kermit files from VAX to
PC).

I format a disk using dos2dos on my AMIGA.
Then
VAX->PCSA->DECstation(PC)->Dos2Dos->AMIGA
that works fine for me.

Yep,
i format a 3.5" disk with 720k on a DS350, convert the archive on
the vax with cvtarc to 510 Bytes fix lenght, started NFT, copied the
file. At home i copied the archive with MSH or CrossDOS to Amiga-DOS.
