I am looking for a label printing utility. I downloaded a few from the
fish disks but most printed a directory and/or subdirectories/files.
I would like to have one that takes a list of floppy disk titles and
prints them in bold or large type on continuous feed labels. Any
suggestions?

md,
All you need is one of the many wordprocessor/DTP programs which
support mail merge. I bought some continuous form 3 labels and created
labels for my hard disk backup disk set. I've used both Excellence and
Pen Pal with much success. What I did, was to measure the size of a
normal label, then set my page size to those dimensions. Then type what
text will be part of every label and allow for merge data on other
sections of the label. For example, my labels look like this;

<< text2 >>
<< text3 >>
<< text4 >>
<< text5 >>
<< text6 >>
<< text7 >>

For the backup disk set, I have the following,
text1 = QuarterBack
text2 = Backup Disk
text3 = #n
text4 =
text5 = Volume
text6 = DH0
text7 =
This example used Excellence. Be sure to set the text to center justify,
so the text is centered in the label.
The initial set up is trial and error as far as getting the page size
and printer aligned, but once done, it's a simple matter of changing
the merge data file. What I did was to print out, on paper, a couple of
test labels and then place the continuous form labels on top of the
paper to check the registration. After a little tweaking, the labels,
printer, and page size all aligned and now everything works great.
Although I haven't actually printed any labels with it yet, Pen Pal can
make even better labels because of its ability to create forms.

I keep saying that I will get a WP/DTP package, but...
Thanks for the idea!

One of the disk magazines distributed DskLabel by Ron Shaw not too many
moons back. I am currently wading through them to find out which
issue. I will post it here when I find out.
This utility is very useful. I use continuous feed diskette labels and
it prints them accurately enough that the disk label can be see on the
edge when the label is applied to the disk.
It develops a pseudo-directory of your diskette that fits on the label
space. Plus, it allows editing of the label contents before you print
it out.
