| I don't have the answer to the missing files on Amicus disks,
but I'll throw in my two cents:
Amicus #1 and #22 are _old_ in terms of Amiga software. The printer
driver is Vintage 87 and only works for WorkBench 1.2. (Correct me if someone
knows of a new version.) Most people are using WB 1.3 and are anticipating
WB 1.4 later this year.
If you can't find a printer driver on a Fred Fish disk, or through the net
somehow, then you may have to use the PrtDrvGenV2.3, but I suspect that
anything offered on Amicus #1 has either a newer version available, or
has been made obsolete by someone else's newer PD/shareware work.
My advise:
Look more closely at what you want from the Amicus disks and see if you
can't find something more recent that offers the same features. You might
have good luck looking through old notes in this conference, or defining
yours wants here so we can offer our opinions.
And one last thing. If you thought there was a lot available through Amicus,
you ain't seen nothing yet!!! ;-) Check out the notes on accessing files on
node TAPE (such as 3594.*) or the notes on the Fred Fish Catalogue (3306.*)

To answer your original question, some of the AMICUS and some of
the older FISH disks are missing files. The problem is that the
original collection came from an UNIX TAR tape. The VMS TAR program
that I was using could not re-map some file names ( UNIX, VMS,and
AMIGA use different rules for file names ).
I still have the original tape. I just need to find time and
need to fix the problem.
