| | The rumor I read suggested a possible merger of INFO and Amigo Times.
We will see, I guess. They both are/were created entirely on the
Amiga, but their headquarters must be some 1000 miles apart!
Anybody want to call INFO in Iowa?

| | Wow, I was sorting through my old magazines and realized quite a few have
    bit the dust.

    Let's see....

    	Amigo Times
    	Amiga Sentry
    	Ahoy's Amiga User
    	Ami Transactor?
AX is supposed to be having problems too....

    	I haven't seen AMNews in a while...
    Anybody know of any others?

| | Well if they ARE merging, it would be nice if they told the
    subscribers!

| | I just saw issue 1.10 at a dealer a few days ago, still no service at
the number given. I will try to see if they will honor
    pre-disappearance subscriptions.

I just bought a copy of INFO (July issue). No Amigo Times
merger here. This is the last issue with C=64,128 material and
they confirm a move to 11 issues/year. I still like the humor
and candid reviews in INFO. And I like the "home" user focus
rather than "power" user focus the other magazines often get
     into.

They are promising a new technical section with ex-Transactor
editors Chris Zamara and Nick Sullivan, and other articles by a
lot of the same people who seem to write for the other mags:
Shay Addams, Oran Sands, Denny Atkins, John Foust, Peggy
Harrington, Brad Shenck & Arlan Levitan.

And, now that Compute! has been bought out by Penthouse, the
     Amiga magazine shuffle may continue.

| 3564.7 | A Compute! centerfold? | DECWET::DAVIS | Lucid dreaming | Thu Jun 21 1990 11:54 | 4 |
| | Do you think Compute! will now have a centerfold? A re-touched photo
of the insides of an A3000? A disk drive seeking to the inner guard
band? Compute! letters detailing the ecstasy of a "power user"
    rendering on a 50Mhz 68030?

I think the letters to the editor may take a new twist:
"The other day when I was using my Amiga something beyond my
     wildest dreams...
     .
     .
     .

Now THAT was a day I'll never forget"
