I need someone with some knoledge about floppies connector.
I own an A2000 and I need (internal) 3 1/2" floppy (720K) for my
bridgeboard XT.
I disconnected DF1: from the Amiga and made a cable (34 pins
berg to berg with card edge in the middle) that works fine...
after adding a wire from the external connector (SEL1B) to
internal connector pin 12. BUT when I use drive A: on
the IBM, both LED on drive A: AND B: lights up.
Like I said, IT WORKS, but the fact that BOTH leds are on is
a bugger.
I am trying to figure out WHAT is getting the LED to light up?
Hit <CR> for more details:
If I use drive B: only the drive B: led is on.
If I use drive A: both Leds will light up...
Here is the drive config on my Bridgeboard:
PHYSICAL DRIVE 0 | PHYSICAL DRIVE 1 | PHYSICAL 2
| |
Drive A: 5 1/4" | Drive B: 3 1/2" | 30 Meg Hard Card
READ: 360K | 360K | (drive C:)
WRITE: 360K | 360K |
| |
Virtual H: (drive A:) | Virtual Drive I: (drive B:) |
READ: 360K | 360K/720K |
WRITE: 360K | 720K |
NOTE: IF I change PHYSICAL drive #, now BOTH LEDS will light up
for drive B: . i.e IF I use the 5 1/4" drive, it also lights
the 3 1/2" LED.
My question is what signal do I have to modify to get it to light
the proper led?
Or if you prefer what is causing the 3 1/2" led to go on?
Vince.
