Can anyone upload the SETPREFS command from FF157?
Since Santa brought a hard disk to our house, I now need a convenient
way to switch preference settings between my LA50 and PJ-1080A. The
above command looks like it might do the trick, but FF157 doesn't seem
to be on TAPE.

Paul,
SetPrefs is now at FSDEV1::Disk$User1:[JBERNARD.AMIGA]SetPrefs.arc
If you have any problems downloading, stop over the house and get
it.

Hi John,
Would you happen to have any documentation on SETPREFS? The .ARC
only has the binary and I am unsure how to use it.
Thanx,

Re .2:
I believe it takes one argument - the name of a configuration file.
What you do is use preferences to set things the way you want, and save
them. Then copy the file (it is sys:devs/system-configuration or
something like that) to someplace else. Whenever you want to restore
that configuration, use setprefs and give the name of the file. Keep
as many different files as you like.
I have two printers - one color which sits on the parallel port and an
LA50 on the serial port. I made a separate configuration files for
each. Then, using IconX, I made separate icons for color and b/w
printers, with scripts to invoke setprefs. So selecting between the
printers is only a matter of clicking.
I have contemplated making a version which only changes the printer
preferences, leaving the rest unchanged, but haven't bothered so far.
