| | The joystick should be ok (I'm using the same one I had for the
    C64).

Maybe your joystick has gone south?

| | Sorry I didn't answer sooner. It was a cheap joystick that I bought
to see if it would work for PacMan. It may well be bad as I don't
have any way to test it.

Thanks. At least I know it *should* work.

| 1084.3 | PacMan87 Joystick Question! | AKOV11::SMITH | Ed... | Fri Mar 03 1989 21:57 | 15 |
| | I know this is quite an old note but I a late starter on getting
an Amiga I am trying to catch up. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone
could help me with PacMan87. I seemed to have loaded the game fine
and I've played around with it a bit. Whats bothering me is that
if you start the PacMan heading one direction he will continue in
that direction even if I let the joystick go. Is this a FEATURE??
or is it the fact that I'm using an analog joystick and should be
using a digital (4/8 switches) type? It would seem to me he should
stop if I let the joystick go (centered). If this is how it works
with a digital joystick I go out and buy one.

    Thanx,

    ...Ed

| | I've only got analog joysticks and I'm pretty sure that is just the way I
remember it working.
