I haven't bought one yet, but I've been looking and...
The Electronics boutique at the Pheasant Lane Mall sells them for
995.00 PLUS the Monitor. The latest issue of AmigaWorld (I got it
yesterday) has a place in West Virginia selling it for 989.00 WITH
the monitor. (And no sales tax for mail order. Shipping, though...)
They also had a good deal on a package:
Amiga 1000
Amiga 1080 monitor
256k expansion. - Probably not Amiga's, but RAM is RAM.
External Drive.

No sales tax at Pheasant Lane Mall, so you can probably beat the
mailorder price if they are charging for shipping. I feel bad for
all those folks that paid the extra $$ for the monitor/system "special"
deal of two months ago!

I purchased mine at Computer Mart of NH. in Nashua.I was having
problems with disk reads so I walked it in.They found nothing wrong
with the drive(reformated and recopied my workbench disk this seemed
to help). However an alert service person found my system would not
boot workbench when an external drive was attached.(i don't have
one)They placed an order for a new cpu board an told me they would
call when it arrived.I am covered by the warranty now.But if I had
mail ordered my coverage may have expired before I got my external
drive, and realized a problem existed. So far their attitude has been
service oriented, and helpful.I'll let you know how it all turns
out.But to save a FEW bucks........ .
