Since things have quieted down a bit in here, I'm going to open stuff up
again a little bit.
I'd like to commend the noters who complied with the "rules" without
making a big fuss.
Please keep in mind these simple rules which keep the moderators job a little
easier, and make the file a more pleasant place in which to note:
o Junk Notes, major "tangents" etc belong in the Junk
Note -- Note 73.*
o Please maintain some degree of decorum in here. This
is not a lockerroom. We have female noters and probably
plenty of female RONs, and other people who may be sensitive
to crude/rude and otherwise thoughtless remarks.
o Please refrain from making disparaging/antagonistic/rude
remarks to other noters -- either in the body of a note,
the title of a note, or your personal name string. If this
MUST be done, please confine it to VAXmail or some forum
OUTSIDE of SPORTS notes.
Finally, please remember this:
o The moderators are not here to be dictators, referees,
or judges of what is in good taste. We attempt, within
the rules of P&P and common sense to maintain the file with
a friendly atmosphere in which ALL noters can communicate,
exchange ideas, and enrich their lives.
o We try our hardest to be as fair and equitable as possible,
but this is not a FULL TIME job for us.
o Please cooperate with us, as we have the best interests of
the file and ALL the noters in mind.
