    	Good teams overcome poor officiating.

    Relative to this statement, New Orleans would have had to have been a
    GREAT team to overcome the calls that went against them.  Ain't seen
    that many bad calls go against one team in a long time...and replay has
    got to go...it's ineffectual.

Replay is for the birds.  It really is.

I watched some of the games this weekend.  By that I mean I didn't
watch any one all the way through but saw  bits and pieces of all
of them.

Replay has got to go.  It makes a mockery of the game, and I don't believe
that it improves the accuracy all that much.



I did like the interception with laterals in the Atlanta game.  
McKuyer and Sanders can come play for the Wanderers any time, because that
whole play looked a lot like rugby, excepting for the forward pass...


I think Atlanta will lose to Washington, but it was nice to see them 
in the playoffs.  New Orleans was a team that started fast out of the
gate this season, then self-destructed....

    10-0 NO at that point. Correct call (i.e fumble ) and the Saints get
    possession. Nexted play Falcons score and it's 10-7. Big turnaround.

There's no doubt the guy's personality sucks, but the man clearly has
speed, ball-carrying ability, and would probably make a pretty good wing.

If US Rugby is to dominate international rugby it's necessary to have
athletes like Sanders, LT and others playing the sport.

    As the announcers pointed out, why go to the replay booth at all
    if the ruling will only be "play whistled dead on the field"?  The 
    NFL issued a directive last year that effectively made these plays
    non-reviewable.  Why continue to go to replay, inflame the crowd
    and the viewing audience just to point out that a bad call was made
    but there's nothing that can be done about it?  Just put the ball
    down and play on...

    That lateral by McKyer has to be one of the stupidest plays ever.  As
    soon as he made the pick, the game was over.  Case closed.  I don't
    have a problem with hot-doggin', but it's just plain stupid when you
    have the game won and jeopardize it.

    	I have to agree with Dan'l in 229.4. There were at least
    	two bad calls that directly affected the score. In other
    	words, had the calls been made correctly, Atlanta would
    	have had 10 less points.
    
    	One call was the fumble by the Atlanta running back. The
    	other call had to do with a pass play, I believe.
    
    	I even mentioned it to my daughter. I said, "If Atlanta wins,
    	it's because of these two bad calls."

    re: replay rule
    
    	For the life of me I can't figure out why the NFL is so dumb when
    it comes to replays.
    
    	Why don't they just use the rule that is in effect in basketball
    for an appeal on a correctable error.
    
    	In basketball (college and HS), if a coach thinks an error has been
    committed (wrong guy shooting free throws, should be shooting and they
    are not etc..) he can go to the scorers table and request a T.O. for
    a correctable error.  If the ref's find that the error is indeed a
    correctable error, then the coach is not charged a T.O., but if the
    error is not correctable, the coach is charged with a T.O.
    
    	So, in the NFL, if a coach wants to challenge the call with the
    use of a replay use the above rule.  If the replay overturns the call,
    don't charge the coach with a T.O., but if the replay doesn't overturn
    the call, charge them with a T.O.
    
    	If this were in effect, the game would basically return to the way
    it was years ago, but with the added element of gambling a T.O. to get
    a call reversed.  Few coaches would want to blow a T.O. on a so-so
    call, but they might take a chance if it were a critical situation.
    
    	Keep the replay available and let the coach request it if he feels
    the call is incorrect.  If the coach is right, no T.O. is charged, if
    he is incorrect, take a T.O. away from him.

    Dallas has beat Washington in RFK, New Orleans, Philly in the Vet,
    Atlanta....The last time Philly and Washington were beat on their
    home turf int the same year wass by the '86 Giants......Then The
    Cowboys beat Ditka's Bears in Chicago. 
    They have had one of the most demanding schedules in the league, and
    have been on this five game roll with their 2nd string QB.
    
    This team seems to be for real. Their young and ambitious, and are
    totally unintimidated by any team.
    I am a biased Cowboys fan, and was one who cursed the way Tom Laundry
    was let go, but you really have to hand it to Jimmy Johnson, the way he
    handled the media adversity, a new team and has them in the
    playoffs within 3 seasons.
    
    Next weeks game against the Lions could very well be the one that ends
    this season for the Cowboys (Lions beat the Cowboys 34-10 in the
    regular season), but after the abuse we COwboy fans have taken over the
    past five years, this season sure was sweet!!

    Here's some good news for Cowboy fans: The last 3 times the Bears have
    been knocked out of the playoffs it has been by the eventual Super Bowl

    The NFC East is the toughest division in football.  Having to play the
    Redskins, Giants, Eagles twice = tough schedule.   In addition they
    played  @Detroit, Atlanta, Houston, and New Orleans.  Thats 10 tough
    games, vs playoff teams and contenders.

    One thing that has impressed me about the Cowboys is that they are
    winning in spite of Jimmy Johnson, who has almost cost them two games

    Ouch! Detroit beating Dallas this weekend was the only real shocker to
    me of the 4 games. Guess I shouldn't have gone against that home field
    advantage of the Lions. From here on out Washington should make it into
    the Superbowl fairly easy as the Lions are horrendous on grass!

    I guess I can now gloat about the Lions.  I for one did not
    expect them to beat Dallas.  I also didn't expect Erik Kramer
    to have the kind of day that he had.  All through the week
    Dallas was mouthing off about Kramer.  Even during the game
    Del Rio was giving the verbal abuse to Kramer.  They called
    him a scab "which he was" and said that he was going to have
    to be the one to beat them.
    
    Fontes' game plan was to throw the ball and Kramer executed the
    game plan perfectly.  One of the local sports show here in Detroit
    had Bennie Blades on.  The announcer asked him what he would like
    to see Dallas do.  Blades said "we would like to see Aikman in the game
    because he has been out for 6 weeks".   Troy did look a little
    rusty, fumbling two snaps from center.
    
    On to Washington where I don't think we will win.  We have lost 15
    straight to Washington and never won at RFK.  This team continues
    to amaze me though.  How much longer can they play on emotion?
    
    If by chance we do win at Washington we will have a good chance in
    the Super bowl because it is played indoors.  The Lions are 11 - 0
    indoors this year.

    The Lions players have been in contact with Mike.  He reported to
    them that he is having some feeling in his toes.  This is great
    news.  The hospital cannot confirm this though.
    
    Last Friday night some of the Lions players showed up at the K-mart
    in my town.  The place was packed.  The line to meet the players
    ran all through the store.  The players were signing Mike Utley
    T-shirts and caps.  Detroit really needed a lift with the auto
    industry in the current state it is in.
    
    The Pistons are starting to play a little better, the Red Wings are
    flying.

    The outcome of yesterday's game didn't surprise me.  The margin of

    I think with Kramer's performance the Redskins will now have to
    be aware of the Lions passing attack.  They just can't key on
    Barry Sanders.
    
    The one rap on Barry Sanders was that he can't block.  He put
    a real good block on a blitzing linebacker that gave Kramer
    enough time to hit Green for a touchdown.
    
    I liked the piece CBS did before the game asking Lions fans
    who the quarterback was.  Also I liked the pass distribution
    stats that CBS brought up.  Guy in stands 1 - 35 yds.

    perfect throws to the receivers. ANd it seems that the receivers

    The Lions have had a decent defense, just needed to give their QB
    some time.  Hasn't always happened the last couple of years.  Now
    that that's happened and they have receivers that can catch, they've
    played really well.  Hope they can heal up some more and for good
    weather in Washington...

    What idiotic coaching by Jimmy Johnson.  It's ok to load up on Barry
    and man D out a the gate, but by the Lions' 3rd possession it was
    apparent to everyone but Jimmy that they were gonna get blown out if
    they didn't make a_adjustment by going to the zone D and taking their
    chances with Sanders.  
    
    Johnson's been made to look the genius by Mike Lynn, who delivered
    him a half dozen starters and 12 high draft choices for a nobody like
    the washed-up Hooshow Walker.  But he may be in over his haid in the
    NFL.  In the pros you cain't go out and plunk down the cache and
    recruit 30 kids with 4.2 speed and swarm under your opposition.  True,
    Lynn's stupid trade (giveaway) has to some extent simulated the 'Cane's
    recruiting, but in the bigs the other teams have speed too.

    MrT.  I agree that Jimmy Johnson was out coaches yesterday by Wayne
    Fontes.  You're statement about him being in over his head is a bit
    unfounded though.  Johnson has proved that he can coach in this league. 
    You don't take a team from 1-15, to 7-9, to 12-6 in just three years
    without being a great coach.  Everyone in the NFL recognizes Johnsons
    coaching ability.  In fact, John Madden said after the Redskin win in
    RFK that Jimmy Johnson had coached the best game that he had ever seen! 
    EVER!
    
    Dallas will be back next year.  They're an up and coming team.

    I saw several Cowboys games this year and have yet to be impressed with
    JJ. The first Washington game he blew, he never made any adjustments
    against the Eagles in the first game (where Aikman was sacked 11
    times), JJ went for a 50+ yd FG in the second Eagles game, which was
    missed and put the Eagles in their best field position of the game
    (gave the Eagles opportunity to score, which the did and put them basck
    in the game), JJ turned down a motion penalty yesterday on the first
    drive of the game, which would have pushed Detroit out of FG range,
    rather than give the Lions another down, etc., Etc.
    
    From the Cowboys games I've seen this year they've won in spite of JJ,
    rather than because of him. Actually, he's probably alot like Buddy
    Ryan in that he seems to be a great judge of talent but not such a
    terrific game day coach.

    Before you read too much into the Cowboys' turnaround without taking
    to account the Hooshow trade, which came like manna from heaven to
    the Cowboys in the form of several quality starters and a dozen high
    draft choices.  You're right, the Cowboys turnaround has been quick,
    and it's only going to improve with their latest batch of Vikings
    picks.  But that has to do with what may be the worst trade in the
    history of sports, not Johnson.

    I thought Landry only won about 3 games in his last season with Dallas.

    Landry went 3-13 his last season in Dallas.  Landry's team was on the
    decline, and Johnson decided to clean house immediately.
    
    'T, true, true Dallas took Minnesota to the cleaners on the Walker
    deal.  However, they didn't receive a boat load of quality players from
    the deal.  Only Ike Holt stuck with the team and I think he's a
    marginal corner at best.  The only other ex-Vike on the team this year
    was disgruntled linebacker Jesse Soloman, another marginal player who
    was traded to Tampa.  Dallas has Minnesota's first three picks this
    year to complete the deal.  
    
    I still think the majority of the teams success rests squarely on
    Johnson's shoulders.  There are plenty of teams in the NFL who have
    more than adequate talent that because of poor coaching squander it
    year after year after year.  See RAY HANDLEY of the New York Giants for
    this years example.
    
    One minor nit.  A few notes back someone complained about Johnson's
    coaching in the Redskin game and Philly game both played in Dallas. 
    First of all, you obviously have been listening to Dan Dierdorf and the
    boys a bit much.  In the Redskin game, Dallas was down by 9 points with
    a little over two minutes to play.  Granted, JJ probably could've have
    saved about 45 seconds with better clock management.  That however
    didn't guarantee victory since Dallas still had to score a touchdown
    and recover an onsides kick (They scored and didn't recover onsides
    kick).  In the Philly game, their young offensive line was man-handled. 
    11 sacks, 'nuff said.  However, the coach who apparently can't make
    adjustments walked into Veterans stadium in week 13 or 14 and beat a
    Philly team which was driving for a potential playoff spot.  In that
    game, Dallas gave up *ONE SACK* to the leagues best defense while
    getting *SEVEN* of their own!
    
    So much for being a poor game coach, huh!

    shocked and tickled pink when going into the 2nd quarter Johnson
    decided to stick with the man D, saying, "we couldn't believe it
    but decided that so long as they were going to give it to us we

    I reread what I entered and I never said that the Eagles had a great
    coach. What I wrote was that JJ is not a great coach. I guess cause
    Kotite didn't do a good job that means JJ _is_ a good coach???

    As much as it pains me to admit it, Jimmy Johnson's done a fine job.  
    The Dallas roster is not yet to the point where it's littered with 
    self-motivating All-Pros.  Someone in that locker room is doing
    something right getting these guys to play and win in the toughest
    division in football.  Mike Lynn helped, but all you have to do is look
    at Jerry Burns and Minnesota itself to realize that just sending them
    out on the field doesn't get it done.  I have a strong feeling that had
    Minnesota kept the draft picks and players they'd still be very little 
    better off than they are right now.
    
    Keep in mind that not only was Johnson not supposed to win, but that
    he was supposed to prove himself a laughingstock, according to some
    self-appointed experts.  He was reportedly implementing systems that
    were outdated and overly simple by college standards.  Look who's
    getting the last laugh...

    If Minnesota hadn't made The Worst Trade In History it's true they
    still might've ended the season at .500, but you're wrong wrong
    WRONG to say they wouldn't be any worse off.  They'd have a number
    of young talents, and they'd have their first three drafts for this
    year, a not unimportant thing given that the starters average about
    30 years of age.  The only thing they wouldn't have had was Hooshow,
    which is no big deal, cuz they he didn't fit in with their O-scheme
    anyway (especially their trap blocking OL talent) and cuz he's only
    their 2nd best back behind Clemson product Terry Allen.

    Jerry-the-Jenius did just fine Saturday, thank you.  He lost on the
    road to a far superior team, the best team in football.  He kept his
    team in the game for a long while against what some speculate is the
    best OL in history with a sharp QB behind it slinging darts to some
    fine receivers.  
    
    And, most a all, Jenius got them there.  We all know that it weal 
    take him some time to cop the talent and mould it into his image.
     
    It was a good weekend all 'round for J-the-J, cuz on Sunday he got to 
    watch the team the talent he moulded for his previous employer do well
    against John in a losing choke-job effort.  Big Bad John.  Would a
    won that game if J-the-J had steal been at the helm.

    The Falcons *must* add size and strength on the defensive front 
    to become true contenders.  Otherwise, o-lines like the Hawgs will

    I'm a big fan of Jimmy Johnson, but don't get too caught up in what
    Madden has to say about other coaches.  He's kind of got the Dick
    Vitale syndrome in the sense that he's always praising coaches for
    wins but saying they get a bum deal when they're fired.  I heard Madden
    say what a shame it was right after Henning got fired in San Diego but
    if you listen to the Charger fans they say his coaching was terrible. 
    
    RE: Atlanta-Wash game
    When the Falcons were running off the field at halftime after the
    missed FG by Washington I thought at that point Atlanta would come back
    and win.  They were celebrating like they had a 21-point lead.
    
    I like Deion and the Falcons' renegade style, but did anyone hear
    Deion's crazy statement after the game.  He was saying (basically): "We 
    played a good game and we're not disappointed.  We're happy in this 
    locker room and we've got music playing - it's like we won, the only 
    difference is we don't have a game next week."

Washington should have crushed them by even more. I kept yelling at the TV 
telling Gibbs to run straight ahaid every single down. Every time they ran 
they got 7 yards..then they would try and toss the ball. If they had run the
ball the entire first half they would have been up by 28 and the game would have
been over. 

The Hoggs could have pushed the Atlanta front line over the Mason-Dixon line
if Gibbs would have let them. 

Gerry the Jerk needs some meat up front or he'll never take the team further
than he did this year....

How long did Hammer stay out in the rain? Or did he wimp out and go sit in the
locker room for the 2nd half so his jewelry wouldn't get rusted?

Although I'm a big Detroit fan I don't think they have the depth to stop the

    As for the comment about the Skin's crew wetting the field,  I wouldn't
    put it past the good for nothin BUMS.  The Skin's are one team that I
    can't stand.  Haven't like them since Joe Theisman was there.  I really
    think that if the field is wetted by anything else but rain the skins
    should have to forfeit or play in another staidum.  That really is
    cheating if you ask me.  If the field is wetted by an act of god then
    so be it.  If it's wetted by Gibbs and his flunkies it's cheating.

If any of you saw the game on Saturday, or were anywhere on the
Eastern seaboard, I think you know that no one NEEDED to wet that field.

That's one of the worst downpours I've ever seen for any kind of game...
(Except possibly our game against Mystic River in 1990)

    It may not be very sporting but its not cheating.  If wetting the field
    is cheating then why is putting a roof over the field and playong on
    fake grass ok.  You cant have it all, the lions play in the warm dry
    protection of a dome on fake grass.  They go 11-0, but on real turf
    regardless of the condition they done fair that well.  I expect
    washington to take advantage of the home field (home field advantage)
    just as Detroit would if they had the best record overall.
    
    Im still hoping for 2 or 3 dry sunny days before game time, when is 
    kickoff for the Wash VS Det game (time).

     I disagree...  Now,  If the Lions were playing at home and they
    put in microphones to amplify the crowd noise to three time it's

    Metz, it was reported in the Sunday Globe by Mike Madden that Hammer
    and Evander were in the the press box.  He lamented that no one had a
    good enough left hook to tell Evander that there was no cheering
    allowed in the press box.  He also added that they both ducked out with
    5 minutes to go.

    Gawd him self did that.  It has been shown on occasion that the Skins
    have doctored the field to their favor in the past.  My only comment
    was that if this happens then their should be some kind of penalty

         I expect the Lions to try anything they can think of ( reverses,
    on side kicks, ect...) but it still won't work. Washington should just
    cover by winning by two touchdowns. The Lions had better not get too

Isn't it about time you gave up on your QB predictions ? Andre (run it up vs 
inferior competition) Ware will be cut next season and Klingler will take his
place for 1 year then he'll be on the bread line....

Think of how good the Lions could have been if they didn't waste that draft pick
on Ware....

Or are the Lions gonna grab Shawn Moore and turn him into a pro bowl QB next

    Blow out! No doubt about it, the Lions tried to win this thing on
    emotion but didn't have good enough weapons to get it done. I only saw
    from about the middle of the 3rd Quarter on but from what I saw the
    Lions were getting pushed all over the field and burned deep on a
    couple of occasions. It's too bad that this game wasn't that exciting
    but it was to be expected.

    The Lions will have to improve quite allot on grass next year if they
    have any thoughts of repeating or surpassing this years performance.

    It looks like Washington is 6 point early favorites to beat the Bills.
    I know it's early but my feelings are a 3 or 4 point win by Washington
    with the winning touchdown run or throw coming late in the 4th Quarter.

    It should be a great match up!!

    Ironic part is that he should have realized that Peete has never gone

The Lions should trade Ware for any defensive help they can get...He sucks...
With Peete and Kramer the Lions have enough depth at QB...With Sanders,Moore,
Green they have a decent set of receivers and backfield. 

What was very evident yesterday was that the Lions need some pass rushing
specialists. Their inability to get any rush on Rypien spelled their doom.

The Skins outplayed the Lions but the Lions are a young team. If they can keep 
most of their players together and add some depth via plan B and draft for
impact defense this year (instead of squandering picks on stiffs like Ware) 
which they have shown a tendency to do, they will be the top of the NFC central
for a few more years.....

Congrats to the Skins....classy team, classy fans, jerk for an owner....
Despite what Vegas says..this should be a close game if Levy does his homework
over the next few weeks....It would definately be a close game if they played
next week..The week off gives an advantage to the Skins. Nobody prepares better
with a week off than Gibbs....

    The lack of a defense has nothing to do with the abilities or
    inabilities of the run and shoot.  Using a run and shoot may inflate a
    team's defensive stats because the other team will have the ball more
    often.
    
    I give the Redskins more credit for forcing early turnovers yesterday
    and putting the Lions in a hole early.  Given that the Redskins are a
    better team than the Lions, I think the Redskins would have won that
    game regardless of whatever offense the Lions chose to run.

While admitting that the Redskins are a helluva team with an excellent 
coach and loyal fans, I really find it hard to like them.   Granted, as 
an Eagles fan, you never like your hottest rivals but, for me, this goes 
back many many years.

When I was in school at Virginia (2 hours from DC), a lot of my fellow 
students and friends were Skins fans.   This was back in the twilight of 
George Allen's Skins career and pretty much all through Jack Pardee's turn 
at the helm.   It often seemed like every little bounce, every little call, 
every little thing that could possibly go their way did and at the best 
possible time for them.   And their fans, at least the ones I knew, took 
this as their God-given birthright.   Arrogant, loud, sometimes very much 
clueless about football and that song, that goddamn song ... over and over 
again ... Hell, they even play that stupid song after they kick field 
goals, fer cryin' out loud.

And it really hasn't changed much.   Joe Theismann was real easy to 
dislike, I mean *real* easy.   I started calling him Joe Lee Crosby just to 
piss 'em off.   Riggins was alright because he did some outrageous things 
but please spare me all that "Wild Bunch" and "The Posse" and "Hogs" and 
"National Defense" and on and on and on.   They know *exactly* how to 
promote themselves and they do it very very well.

And if yo listen to the highlights on HBO's "Inside The NFL", you'll notice 
that they dub the team's *radio* broadcast crew in over top of the films.  
Actually, I kinda like that touch but the Skins' guy has the really 
annoying habit of announcing the team's full name every time they score.  
As in ... "Rypien to Monk ... TOUCHDOWN, Washington Redskins."   Over and 
over again ... would make a *great* torture technique for the CIA or 
somebody.   Can you picture it ???   Terrorist suspect won't cough up the 
information so they keep on playing that guy's radio call over and over.   
Whew, I'd tell 'em all they wanted to know and quick, too.

I'll root for 'em in the Supe against Buffalo simply because I'm an NFC fan 
but I won't cry too many tears if we don't have to listen to an upcoming 
year's worth of Redskins' worshipping.

lost that unbelievable 35-34 game to the Cowboys in Staubach's regular 
season farewell in 1979 ... another buddy of mine, a fellow Skins hater, 
and I stood up in front of the tube in front of all our shocked and 
devastated Skins friends and started singing "Hail To The Redskins" as loud 
as we could.   Oooh, were they torqued ... Ha !

    I used to live near Washington and my father still does, so I've always
    been partial to but not fanatical about the Redskins.  I'll root for
    them against the Bills, but if the AFC would ever send a team to the
    Super Bowl I could stomach I might consider going against them simply 
    because the Skins are the overdog.  Sorry, the Bills don't qualify for
    me.  Too many bad experiences with Buffalo fans there...
    
    Bob, for everything you've recounted about Washington fans at school I
    could substitute "Philadelphia" and it would come out exactly right from 
    my experiences.  Seriously.  Dan'l can probably confirm it, but at C-MU
    Philly has got to be second only to Pittsburgh in student
    representation, and they weren't shy about stating which Pennsylvania
    city was number one, even though they chose to go to school in the other.
    It also didn't help that my freshman year the Phillies went to the World
    Series, the Eagles to the Super Bowl, and the Sixers to a big Eastern
    Conference seven-game playoff with the Celtics (which was the sweetest
    of all, what with the Sixers fans celebrating "victory" in that series 
    on numerous occasions only to lose the last three games in
    near-miraculous fashion).  These fans generally acted like they'd never 
    won anything before. ;-) 
    
    Actually, two of my best friends were from Philly (big Penn State fans,
    too), and we made a few big tequila and lime celebration parties out of 
    all the Philadelphia activity that year, even if everyone but those two 
    guys from our group were rooting against the Philadelphia teams.  The
    Philly guys ended up getting carried away and couldn't remember the
    second half of the Super Bowl, of course, but we assured them it didn't
    matter...

 I hear you about Philly fans.  I've never claimed to be anything but a
 rabid Eagles and Phillies fan.    Flyers and Sixers, too, although I've
 since replaced the Sixers with the Hornets after we moved down here to
 Charlotte.
 
 But Eagles' fans do not wear pig snouts, we do not dress in ridiculous
 burgandy and gold Indian costumes, and we do not sing the same goddamn
 song over and over and over again every time one of our players so much as
 breaks wind.
 
 Our quarterback has never appeared for an interview with Kathy Lee Crosby
 on his arm, we don't have any stupid nicknames for different segments of
 our team and our radio announcer doesn't announce the team's official city
 and team name together every time we score points.

    Philly fans are okay.  I've gone on road trips to see the Mets play the
    Phillies at the Vet, to see the Rangers play the Flyers (Now that was
    fun - and a  might scary), the Knicks play the SIxers, and most
    importantly - the Giants play the Eagles (heck, I even met ol Mr. Hunt
    there....)
    
    The Eagles fans were loud, rowdy - but as a whole, pretty nice.  I sat 
    in the midst of them, with my Herb Welch #27 Giants Jersey, and just
    got normal crap - no abuse - nothing thrown at me - no threats.  The
    only scary place was the bathroom - where I put a sweatshirt on over
    the Jersey and acted neutral.  I believe a Jints fan may have had a
    good chance for reconstructive surgery in the bathroom.  The drunkest
    and most rowdy were there.
    
    In fact, that was one of the most fun games I ever went too (the fact
    that the Giants won made it that much better!)
    
    The cheese steaks are great.
    
    And believe me - the Eagles cheerleaders had me thinking of carpentry
    the whole game.

 During the Skins-Lions game, did anyone see the short piece CBS did on the
 Skins fans' tailgate parties out in the stadium parking lot ???
 
 They sent a camera crew out into the parking lot and had them tape some
 'gaters.   Man, chops were lickin' big time.  Too bad they haven't
 perfected "SurroundScent" yet.
 
 Anyway, did anyone see the little "No Brie" sign the crew was carrying ???  
 Way too funny.   Why did I immediately think Lufay and T when I saw that

    So what's wrong with brie?  It's succulently tasty, goes very well 
    with red wine or any of your dark fine imported beers, and is quite
    scrumptious with any number of things, such as ground stone crackers,
    baguette, filet mignon, or, if you want to get down and get funky,
    spare ribs.
    
    Of course, a lot of you pigs would rather be stuffing hot dogs and
    peanut butter through your faces and boasting about it, so have at
