I have a customer with 8 AlphaServer 8400's and 1 AlphaStation 255 all running Digital UNIX v4.0b. They would like have PCM on the AlphaStation 255 and manage the 8400's. If they get a terminal server that supports telnet, can they attach the consoles of the 8400's to it and use telnet in a LAN? Also, can the 255 run Digital UNIX v4.0b or does it need to be downgraded to a lower revision? Please advise. Thank you. Scott Fafrak Sr. S/W Consultant (NSIS) [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

    Absolutely!

As of this moment PCM is not fully supported on DUnix 4.0. The release
of V1.7, which does support 4.0, is imminent.

Absolutely. PCM neither knows nor cares what operating system is
running on the systems that it manages.
