	Hi, 

a customer is using PCM to manage a Sun Sparc 20.

sun == decserver ==
        (telnet) 

To break this system, a key named STOP is used this way :

	STOP A

Do anyone know how to break this Sun via PCM ?

    This is a key sequence on a "special" Sun keyboard.  While there may be
    others that have sucessfully done this, I'm not sure that it can be
    performed from anything other than a directly attached keyboard.  Is
    this a SparcStation 20 or a SparcServer20?  The SparcStations that I've
    worked with required that you enter the <STOP><A> from the keyboard,
    even if you shut them down remotely.  IF this "control" key (a phrase
    more along the lines of DEC lingo) sequence can be interpreted by a
    terminal attached to a "console port," then it's a matter of finding
    out what codes are sent to the system.  IF the sequence can't be read
    from an attached terminal, then it probably can't work.
    
    While it's possible that someone works with Sparcs that reads this
    notesfile, it may amount to a question for Sun (or someone that's a
    REAL Sparc hacker).  First question though, is "what kind of Sparc
    is it?"
    
    Oh, yeah, the "STOP" keys are to the LEFT of the normal QWERTY keyboard
    on a separate keypad.  So, we're not looking at a pure PC compatable
    keyboard, but one specific to Sun...
