    Hi everybody,
    	I understand I can define a Pseudo Terminal on PCM and connect the
    Pseudo Terminal to a Telnet Connection.
    
    In this way I can capture and log the messages sent to this telnet 
    connection.
    
    
    Can somebody confirm me this possibility.

    Can you elaborate please? Do you mean can you issue a "telnet nodename"
    command in a pseudo-terminal? If so, then yes of course you can.
    
    If this is not what you mean please elaborate.

    Sorry for my bad explanation.
    
    My real problem is:
    
    . make a connection to a remote system using telnet
    . use this session to manage the remote system
    . capture, filter and log in a file any messages from this telnet
      session (like PCM can use an asyncronous terminal server connection)
    
    My understanding is that the PCM is able to work in this way, can you also
    indicate me "how" I have to configure PCM ?

      Okay, I thought thats what you were trying to do. Before I say
    anything further, I want to make sure you are aware that you can
    use TELNET to actually manage the remote systems console port provided
    that you have a telnet capable server at the remote site. Digitals
    telnet capable servers are (provided you are running a version of the
    DECServer software or Network Access Software on the server that
    supports TELENT)
    
    Decserver 700, 900M, 90TL
    
    
    To setup a pseudo-node that TELNETS to a system, add/modify the node
    record and set the connect-type to pseudo-terminal. In the "
    command to execute" field, place a "TELNET nodename" command.
    
    The only drawback is that you'll have to login to the remote system
    unless it has an automatic login facility. You will also need to setup
    the remote system so that it receives "console messages". You did
    not specify what the remote system is so my reply is very general.
