    character including the character case.
    
    Use the same string as in your database. I would recommend that they
    use a simpler system name. Thats a lot to type!

    I don't think you'll find that that is correct (imho). PCM allows me
    to create a 'system' with a name containing more than two periods, but
    wont subsequently allow me to connect to it (using c3 or dcl).

    it seems to me that I should be able to use any valid name, and, as I
    can create a.b.c.d as a system, that is, to some parts of pcm, a valid
    name.
    As a work-around, we have created a system called "proxy.access" and this
    works fine (case does not appear to be important).
