Hi, VMS 6.1 PCM 1.6-110 I have a customer who is getting the error - %STR-F-FATINTERR, fatal internal error when trying to do a CONSOLE CONNECT from a $ prompt. If he tries the same command via the windows interface the window disappears. He believes this only happens when he connects to his Alphaserver 2100's. Is this a known issue. If so is there a patch for this ? Thanks in advance Justin.

No it is not a known issue. I suspect some terminal setting is causing
the problem. It has *nothing* to do with the type of system you are
trying to connect to. Do a show terminal from a terminal that you
cannot do CONSOLE CONNECT from and post the output.
Alternatively, the SMGSHR.EXE ont he customers system may not be the
correct one, i.e., an older version SYS$SPECIFIC:[SYSLIB]???!!
Regards,
Dan
