    Q1:
Since PCM is polling the nodes every 2 minutes (LAT or TELNET) customer
would like to know if these timers can be modified ? He is worried
about extra load. Especially over slower TELNET lines to remote sites.

What is this check doing ? Is it actually going over the network to the
    remote TELNET server/listener port ?

    Q2:
When disconnecting a 4 wired DECconnect cable from a consoleline PCM is
not complaining about it. Will this work with more wires or is this
'line disconnected' only for the availabitlity of the Terminal
    server/port.

    Regards, Marcel

Yes it can be changed but there is absolutely no need to do so. The
    overhead is totally negligible.

It has nothing to do with the number of wires. Only certain servers
such as the DS90L and 90L+ care if there is actually decconnect cable
plugged in. Personally, I don't recommend that you use these particular
servers as they are not the most robust. A DS700 is a much better
    choice.
