I need some PCM's recommendations when using non-Digital platforms.           

We are using PCM to serve consoles on many non-Digital platforms (HP,SUN,IBM)
    and occasionally we see problems on these platforms (SUN paricularly).  

e.g. the following is a listing of a shutdown/reboot on a SUN system which 
    failed to complete.

25-Oct-1995 17:39:57  Stopping the syslog service.
25-Oct-1995 17:39:57  Oct 25 17:42:47 newasis01 syslogd: going down on signal 15
25-Oct-1995 17:39:57  Stopping NCS services
25-Oct-1995 17:39:57      rpcd left running (for DCE)
25-Oct-1995 17:40:27  umount: /nfs/cern.ch/asis busy
25-Oct-1995 17:40:27  umount: /etc/vice busy
25-Oct-1995 17:40:27  WARM shutting down of: rx... umount: /opt busy
25-Oct-1995 17:40:49  afs... BkG... The system
------ had to reset the system here to get the console prompt back ------------

I would interested to know of any recommendations for settings on the console
device (sun etc..) since I believe that this may explain the above problem.
    
    We are running pcm 1.6 eco1.
