Hi, a customer complains because when he archives logfiles, the new ones don't have for creation date, the date of the last archiving process. The only date reviewed is the modified date. Is it intended behaviour ? What's more I noticed that new log files keep their file ID (dir/fil). How are they created ? Thanks for any input, Maria MENICACCI.

yes. Note the filename describes the dates that the archive file
encompasses.
Since Archiving is an event you could do a CONSOLE EXTRACT/EVENT
Consolemanager and look at console manager events.

When archiving is done the data that is being archived is copied to the
archive file. The data we wish to keep is overlaid onto the *existing*
logfile and the file is truncated so a new file is not being created
thus the file-id stays the same.
