842.0. "file not found" by GVPROD::OPR () Wed Jun 28 1995 16:20

I cannot restart vcs$iodl, since it stopped at 00:00 to close its
log files. It has been working fine for the last XXX years.... 
I'm running vms 5.5-2
    
the error message is:

%VCS-E-BADLOG, Bad VCS log file
-RMS-E-CRE, ACP file create failed
%RMS-E-FNF, file not found
%VCS-F-BADLOG, Bad VCS log file
-VCS-I-SHUTDOWN, VCS shutdown
  SYSTEM       job terminated at 28-JUN-1995 16:56:11.63


I've re-installed vcs v1.4, but to no avail, what file is
it looking for ???? I've checked all the vcs logicals, they
seem to be ok, I need urgent help !!!!!

    It's got a problem opening the console daily log speifically the
    
    VCS$1995_06_28.LOG
    
    Rename or delete this file as well as the
    
    VCS$EVENT_1995_06_28.LOG
    
    If you don't get this message until tomorow then it won't be an issue
    as it won't try to open VCS$1995_06_28.LOG instead it'll open
    VCS$1995_06_29.LOG.

    Thanks Dan, yes it was this log file that was corrupted. Log file
    renamed, and VCS$IODL started correctly.
