  Well, I based my question on note 546.2 which suggests that someone
  was planning on doing something about this, since it says to be
  patient...

  Since it now becomes clear that no-one is working on this, I have
  a couple of questions (trying to get the info elsewhere too):

  1. Has anyone connected a 2100 to PCM (or VCS) ? If so, what scans have
  you used ? Can you extract detected console messages for me ?

  2. Can the DEC7000 profile be used or is the console very different ?

  3. I can't get my hands on any console message docs. If anyone has this
  and gets it, or a pointer, to me, I'll write the profile.

Peter,

  All the profiles we have are looked after by Doreen Flynn (the
  person Dan mentioned in note 546.2), I doubt though that she has
  one specifically for the 2100 as she didnt create any new ones,
  just collected all those we knew about together.

  I know Doreen sometimes looks in this conference, perhaps if
  she is reading this thread, she can point you at the stuff she has.

    Sorry Peter we cannot help you either. We are using pcm to remote
    console a number of 2100's. However, we are not scanning for anything
    since there are no scan profiles. We just us it for remote access.
    Of course we are still out of luck at times since OSF/UNIX does not
    recognize breaks/remote halts. 8-)
