Hi,
PCM T1.6-009.
After doing 3 times console start,console shut via the
CONSOLE C3, the Commands menu keeps 'shutdown' in shading.
Also the 'Restart Eventlist' is shaded.

Hi, I don't know if it is the goal to solve the break issue in PCM V1.6, but like it is implemented I don't like it as it is confusing. The fact that a computersystem can be halted by sending a break signal to it, or by sending a software control code, like CTRL-P, explains that this is a PCM SYSTEM property. The way it is implemented in PCM T1.6 defines the "break key" as a PCM USER property. Ie the user can set its properties, so that they don't match with the physical halt definition of a computersystem. I would recommend that the BREAK key definition becomes a SYSTEM property, which can be set to CTRL_A, CTRL_B, ... CTRL_Z or BREAK_SIGNAL . Please comment, Erik. | |||||

Erik,
we have had comments both negative and posative about the way we
do "Break". The concept of a System Based Halt sequece was something
which was planned for the next major version. It will NOT be in V1.6.

Geert,
I made some changes to the Priv checking stuff in the C3 this
week and I cannot reproduce the problem. We hope to put this one
out Monday. Probably V1.6-011. Try that one when it hits the street.
