|  |     Mike,

        There is a set of PowerPoint slides in OPG::CM$DOCS. These are for
    version 1.1 but nothing in the slides are still relevent. If you
    have a PC with Powerpoint, you can use this to customize your
    presentation. If you make any additional slides, please make them
    publically available for others to use.

|  |     Dave,

    Thanks so much for the pointer; I'll pull off the .ppt files and take a
    look. If I add anything, I'll let you know.

    Regards, Mike

| 607.3 | Follow-up question on Training... | LOCH::KNAUER |  | Mon Feb 13 1995 16:11 | 8 |
| | Is there a Digital Learning Services course on Console Manager? I
    looked in the most recent Learning Services "Digest" magazine and
    didn't see anything listed. I figured if there is a formal course,
    the documentation from it would be a great source to borrow from.

    Please advise.  Thanks in advance!

    Mike

I am afraid not!!!
Get LS to set one up ( there was a customer course once for VCS which I gather
was fairly popular).
Cheers Simon...

| 607.6 | Massive Frustration -- need help!!! | LOCH::KNAUER |  | Tue Feb 14 1995 19:43 | 15 |
| | Your opg::cm$docs:*.ppt presentations look great on the screen on my
    laptop; however, I can't get them to print out landscape!!! When I
    tried to print a couple pages at home it was just fine. However, here
    at work, I'm trying to print to a postscript file and then print the
    file to a scriptprinter. I specify landscape in slide_setup; I specify
    landscape in print_setup; and I specify
    /param=page_orientation=landscape when I print the file to a queue.
    NONE of this has any effect!!! It still prints out portrait, which
    means I lose the right 1/3 of each slide.

    Any suggestions????

    Frustrated and on deadline in Burlington,

    Mike

| 607.7 | Mystery solved! | LOCH::KNAUER |  | Tue Feb 14 1995 21:07 | 8 |
|  |     cowpok::powerpnt note 30.* has a discussion of this problem --
    apparently a Digital driver bug! Anyway, the workaround described
    there seems to work -- namely not printing to encapsulated postscript,
    but printing to a printer connected to FILE instead!

    Now I can use those very good presentations!
