This is not a problem as such. In the kit you have
there is no default configuration file for CM to use.
The first time you exit the editor to save changes it
will be created. We have changed part of the install
since this kit ( it will be avaiable very soon, and
there is a default file created in the installation
if one is not found, so this message is not seen.

What language variant have you got set for yourself.
We supply two Motif uid fioles one for British English
and one for American English. Are you using either of
these?
Session manger customise Language either English GB
or English US should work. This should put an entry in your
.Xdefaults file something like:
*xnlLanguage: en_GB
Let me know how you get on. Also keep an eye on the kit
topic as there should be news soon.

Maybe I am missing something in my path but here is the newest error.

Leon,
Simon is saying that your .Xdefaults file in your home directory should have the
folliwing line in it...
*xnlLanguage: en_GB
For example, my .Xdefaults is as follows...
DXsession.host_list: MANTA::,NOTTM::,nottm.olo.dec.com,localhost,NORSE::,csudev.reo.dec.com
DXsession.num_hosts: 6
DXsession.x: 11
DXsession.y: 31
*xnlLanguage: en_GB
hope this clarifies it.

I added that and now the nul string was replaced with the
en_us. Same error but diff syntax.

simon was almost correct, but as you are in the USA this
should read:
*xnlLanguage: en_US
The language setting on Ultrix Motif appears to add extra characters
to the end of the Language variant string. The application uses the
language resource to decide which uid file to use.
The work round is to edit your .Xdefaults file to contain the correct
line and then re log in. I have asked in the Motif conference whether
this is a bug
The guy who wrote the Motif editor will add some code to strip off these
extra bits, and we will put it in a future kit ( when he gets back
from vacation|).

My motif sceen does not show the underscore..
This should read: en(underscore)US

| Yes that was it. When I went into my xdefaults. the customize had put
this in there..
en.us88195 or some number like that.. I changed that manually
and I have the editor up. Now we will see...

Well now that I have the editor up. I cannot select anything other
than 300 baud. Is this the a limitation? All my systems on VCS are
currently at 9600 baud. I really do not want to change my decservers
and such to be 300 baud. Should I be able to change this?

Leon,
I thought this was the case until I spoke to Simon.
The Baud rate field when you select LAT is meaningless. The connection will take
the speed of the terminal port setting.
