Subj: kinit problems ...
I'm having a problem trying to grab a
Kerberos ticket via kinit. I get the
error message:
kinit: Can't send request (send_to_kdc)
Can anyone tell me why this happens ?
Thanks,
-Kevin Moran

Could be a number of reasons - if it used to work and now doesn't and you didn't change anything, I'd suspect the fact that yield, the kerberos master is down or not responding at the moment. You can get more info by doing a kinit -d. If it turns out that it's yield, you can either wait a few minutes, or reorder the entries in your etc/krb.conf file. -Grant | I'm having a problem trying to grab a | Kerberos ticket via kinit.
