FYI, I've added this info to /usr/sde/osf1/doc/kernel-build-rules,
which has been providing help for over a year.

this file has lots of useful info; anything missing should be added
over time....

How do you add a flag to compile commands in a kernel build.
I've tried:
  cd src/BINARY
  build CCFLAGS=-P intr.o

  build MFLAGS=-P intr.o

  build MAKE_ARGS=-P intr.o

What's the real solution?`
