Is there any way to edit the page numbers in a table of contents
file? (NOTE: I would also need to know how to prevent the
table of contents file from being deleted automatically.)
I am preparing update pages for a large documentation set. The
original documents were prepared with an earlier version of
DOCUMENT. The new DOCUMENT uses some different fonts; therefore,
the paging is different for the new documents than it is
for the original documents. I can control the paging on
the update pages; however, the new table of contents contains
incorrect page numbers for those portions of the document
that were not updated.
Thanks!
Jane

If you specify /KEEP=TEX when you process the file, the
filename_CONTENTS.TEX file will not be deleted. You can edit this
file to change the page numbers, then process it using /NOTAG.
