I wish to do the following WITHOUT HAVING TO CHANGE THE DESIGN.
I want to surround a <le> with parenthesis.
Something like this:
(<LE>) this is my first list element,
(<LE>) this is my second list element.
and have it come out like this:
(i) this is my first list element,
(ii) this is my second list element.
How can I do this?

I have flagged a similar wish in 696. As of now, no way to alter the list element "markers" unless you go into the TEX file, and diddle. I did what you are trying to do like that. What we are seeking will probably happen when custom tags are permitted, or more properly, explained! | |||||
