I have created a personal doctype based on the SOFTWARE.BROCHURE
doctype. What I want to do is extend the image area so that it
looks better on an 8 1/2 X 11 paper. I've been able to extend
the page size, the lengths of the lines of text and the length
of most of the horizontal rules.
Unfortunately, there is one rule I haven't been able to extend:
the rule that runs below the chapter title. It measures 34 picas,
and I would like to extend it to 39 picas. Any suggestions?
Is there a way to eliminate the rule?

| 728.1 | \physicalpagewidth? | CLOSET::ANKLAM | Mon Aug 10 1987 16:49 | 5 | |
Did you change the value of \physicalpagewidth after you changed
\hsize ? The rule width is tied to the value of \physicalpagewidth.

| 728.2 | It worked! | MANTIS::CONNERS | Tue Aug 11 1987 14:21 | 5 | |
As you suggested, I changed the \physicalpagewidth, and it worked. The rule is the right width now. Thanks for your help. - Mike | |||||
