I have created some "line-art" tables eg.
+-----------+--------+
| abc | def |
+-----------+--------+
However when I use subscripts the rows will not line up
(ie. a<subscript>(bc) will cause the following)
+-----------+--------+
| abc | def | (bc is subscripted)
+-----------+--------+
Is there any way I could still use subscripts within line art and
not lose allignment ????
Thanks

| 691.2 | A new one; wish-listed | CLOSET::ANKLAM | Mon Aug 10 1987 15:27 | 7 | |
Sorry, I think the answer is that there is no way in V1.0 to
subscript characters in line-art mode. I will put this on the
wishlist to look at.

| 691.3 | Try this line-art | CURLEY::HASSAN | Fri Aug 14 1987 16:43 | 30 | |
Subscripted characters will work in line-art, the problem is that
DOCUMENT inists on using variable character spacing (letter 'i'
takes less width that letter 'w').
Here is an example of I am doing:
<line_art>
__//_____ ____//_________
DRQ H __/ // \________/ // \___________________
|<>|
_____ |T<subscript>(drq) _____ _
UP_ALE H _/ \_|_________|___|____/ \____________________/
|<--T<subscript>(wl)-->|<->|<-T<subscript>(bc)-->|
_____| | |T<subscript>(rc)|________| ______
UP_CS L \___|_________|___/ \_________________/
______|___| |___|________|___ __________
UP_WR L | \_________/ | \_________/
| | | ||
UP_DAL ------<literal>(<ADR>< VALDAT|>)---------<literal>(<ADR>< VALDAT>)--------
| | | |
| | | |
|<->| |<>|
T<subscript>(crw) T<subscript>(hld)
<endline_art>
Thanks for the reply (thought I would never get one).
