| 380.1 | Can't get LN01 support ourselves, right now. | VAXUUM::CORMAN |  | Mon May 18 1987 16:20 | 15 |
| | I'm sorry, but we are unable to create LN01 files of the documentation
    set at this time. We are running into several LN01 fonts problems
    as well as some other minor LN01 printer problems that make the
    books unprintable.
    The best bet is for you to send mail to me with your interoffice
    address, and I'll forward a copy of the docset your way through
    interoffice mail. I realize this is cumbersome, but it's the only
    way we have until the Version 1 docset is printed (a few months
    away).

     If you can print the books over the net on an LN03 printer, please
     do so instead of having us ship the books. It's obviously a cheaper
    and faster way of doing things.

| 380.2 | Can we have the sources then instead? | FNYFS::WYNFORD | The Rented Loony | Tue May 19 1987 03:50 | 8 |
| | I must admit that I find it rather worrying to hear that the developers
    of DOCUMENT are having problems creating docsets for LN01s. Could
    you therefore make the GNC files available for us, please, so that
    we can build them up over here? (You'd be surprised at the number
    of European sites without access to an LN03, reasons for which I
    won't go into in this forum...)

    It's not the developers, it's the writers who have to cope with
    a development system that changes several times a day. And since
    the LN01 is lacking so many fonts that we now have on the LN03 and
    lacking the ability to include DVI files, it's no longer a matter
    of re-processing a DVI file (much of the UG Part 2 is composed of
    including DVI files; it just doesn't work at all).

      We'd be happy to ship you one-sided originals for copying.
