350.0. ".STT build effect" by MARTY::FRIEDMAN () Wed May 06 1987 17:27
    I found when building an .STT file with

    DOCUMENT filename.GDX DOCTYPE_STT TAG_TABLE

    that my definition of TAG$LOCAL_TAGS somehow got 'included' in the
    resulting .STT file.

    I discovered this when I transferred the .STT file to another system,
    where TAG$LOCAL_TAGS is not defined. When I ran the doctype to which
    the .STT file belongs, I get the error

    Can't find included file--TAG$LOCAL_TAGS

    I rebuild the .STT after DEASSIGNing TAG$LOCAL_TAGS, then transferred
    the new .STT file to the other system. All went well.

    This is a very subtle effect that should either be eliminated or
    documented. (Sorry if it is documented but I missed it...)

    Thanks.

    This will have to be documented behavior. There's no way to
    tell the tag translator *not* to read in TAG$LOCAL_TAGS.
