    I am less than completely impressed with the MAIL output type. 
    
    MAIL is fine for producing documents on the printer.  However the
    output contains page-feeds which makes it usless for reading in
    the mail utility. 
    
    The page-feed at the top of the first page (which is not needed anyway)
    means that my interactive readers have to press RETURN before reading
    of my prose.  Subsequent page-feeds mean that the last few lines
    of each page disappear before they can be read.
