    I am using <BITMAP> and I like it. I had been using <TAG> to do
    the job but it gives a different type-style. Almost OK for text
    but it looks weird in tables. I didn't know about <BITMAP> until
    I read the Release Notes for BL6 Users. Gave it try and I liked
    it!  Keep <BITMAP>, please.

| What is the <BITMAP> tag? What does it do? Where is it documented?
    I see no mention of it in any of my documentation.

| It's listed under DEC-Internal tags in the release notes. It works
the same as <tag> in that it encloses text in angle brackets. It's
purpose is to specify a range of bits in typical hardware notation:

              <bitmap>(10:32) --> <10:32>
We use it often; please keep it around.
