I need to understand how to make Rdb on a Vax "talk" to Informix
running on a Texas Instruments 1500 running Unix.
Optimum would be a tool or product that would allow the 2 databases to
be combined as a single logical entity. This is probably not possible.
What tools could be used to allow regular transfers from Rdb tables to
Informix tables and vice versa.
Is it possible to do anything like RdbAccess for ... to allow "virtual"
Rdb tables to be created which are really remote Informix tables?
What third party or internal tools would be needed for any of above?
Thanks,
Ian

I have heard about a product called Enterprise Data Access/SQL (EDA/SQL)
servers and data drivers from Information Builders.
It provides SQL-based access to relational and non-relational data on
interconnected multivendor systems.
I know they support Informix on several UNIX platforms, however check
with them if they support Texas Instruments.
Hope this helps.
Wendy.
