| I was able to get a copy of the document that Oracle gave to the
customer. It is called "An Introduction to CB-90", dated Fall 1991; the
subtitle is "The Cost-Benefit Method For Linking the True Value of
Technology to Business Performance". It is published by the Oracle
Executive Services.
The gist of the document is that in doing a cost-benefit you need to
consider more than just ROI. In addition to traditional ROI you should
consider such things as:
1) Value Linking: Finding the impact on other groups
2) Value Acceleration: Realizing benefits of a future system sooner
3) Job Enrichment: Increasing a job's economic value
My customer said that Oracle said this method was endorsed by Gartner,
although the document does NOT include any reference to Gartner.
If anyone would like a copy send mail to Sandy Clark @CEO and provide
your Interoffice mail address - I only have a hardcopy so I can NOT
send electronically.
The document also says if you would like further information you can
