I'm involved in a benchmark with RDB on a VAX against Informix on HP and
I need your help.

All the following questions regards to Informix database :

1. If the program doesn't include Begin Transaction  nor COMMIT,
   does is means that No rollback is supported ?
  
2. What is the difference in I/O demands between using Begin transaction
   and not using it ?

3. Is it true that Informix doesn't have Online Backup ?

4. Is there any reason why to use the Informix SQL Dynamic instead of
   pre-compiled interface ?

5. Do you know about any problems in performance, disk space and restore
   when using a large Log file ?
