Hi,
We just got a request for information that asks for data on a SMP
system that can support the SYBASE data base. We are trying to
determine if we have any particular advantages with RDB in the areas of
performance. If we decide to try to convince this customer that we are
better and they should look at Rdb, we will have to prove that Rdb is
better for a number of reasons. The customer is currently enamored
with TIPS. Does anyone have any ideas on SYBASE performance
on SMP machines ? This may be a VAX or another system, the RFI
mentions 24 processors.
