I heard from a customer that the default size of Oracle's SGA is 8 MB. So if you have 5 databases on your machine, you have to spent 40 MB memory just for Oracle. Can anyone comment that? -Hans

Hmmm ... 8mb seems high to me. I just looked in my manuals and
couldn't quickly find the default size as my manauls are not
VMS specific. I would tend to think that 1-2 mb would be
closer. I'll look again next week.
