According to the INGRES Corp. press release dated 4/25 announcing their
Q3 revenues and earnings, there is mention of a proposed minority
equity investment and broader technology and business partnership
with Digital Equipment Corp.
Could anyone elaborate on our equity investment & enhanced business/
technology partnership?
Thanx

According to a front page story in the June 18, 1990 issue of Digital
Review, the potential investment in Ingres has fallen through. "The
companies were unable to agree on a strengthened alliance that was
consistant with our respective strategies," said Paul E. Newton,
Ingres' president & CEO. The two sides were unable to resolve how the
market would percieve the relationship, Newton said.
