Could anyone confirm or otherwise whether it is possible to purchase
a run-time only version of Ingres ? Any additional information on
pricing strategy would be appreciated... we're trying to use free
run-time Rdb/VMS as leverage to pursuade a customer that's it's
far more cost-effective for them to develop and sell an Rdb-based
product rather than an Ingres-based product. Any ammunition on Ingres
relative costs would be great !

Yes, there is an Ingres run-time. It is 40% of the full price of the
Ingres database. If you will send me the hardware requirements, I will
send you the Ingres cost specifics.
