Oracle ad in May 1 issue of Digital News:
The add uses our NAS "S" curve. At the "datacenter" level there
is a picture of a box with a cover that reads "new". The ad verbage:
"VAX/VMS users specify Oracle Version 6 more than any other
RDBMS, because Oracle is the fastest RDBMS available. And since
Oracle is optimized for the DEC/VAX architecture, you can count
on mainframe-class OLTP performance when the Rigel and Aridus
Symmetrical Multiprocessing (SMP) systems are introduced."
It's good to know that Oracle is now selling our futures in addition
to their futures.

Is this true? Can it be true considering the length of time that
6 has been out? (Heck, is it *really* out yet?)
>> Oracle is optimized for the DEC/VAX architecture, you can count
I always thought it was generalized for the DEC/VAX architecture.
Can this be true?
Nahhhh, tell me it isn't so!
I saw a circular over the weekend - K-Mart has a special running
on cow manure: Only $1.66 for a 15 pound bag. Oracle could make
a killing in that market... they offer it for FREE!
