I'm searching for any information about a database product,
about which I only know :
It runs on a CDC machine under the name IM (Information
Management !?). It should be developed/marketed?? by the
company BATELL (French??).
On a CDC conference last week our prospect was told that IM
could run on our VAX under VMS !!?? Perhaps with another name !?
If you know anything about IM / BATELL (e.g. distributing company,
contact person, customer reference, functionality, positioning,
behaviour under VMS etc.), I will be very happy to hear from you.
Best regards

Carsten,
Maybe you mean a product called DM ??!!
DM is a relational DBMS with good full-text-retrieval capabilities.
It is being marketed by IDI (Information Dimensions) and Battelle
Institut. IDI is a 100% subsidiary of Battelle. For benchmark results
using DM on a VAX pls. contact RALPH WINTER in SWAS Hannover/Germany.
If you need further information concerning the product itself you
can contact:
