Does anybody has experience or knowledge of using Cobol Generator on RDB V5.0 ? We have heard that Cobol Generator has some bugs. Is that right ?

The cobol generator creates code which is incompatible with the
RDBPRE precompiler. You do have the oprion of having calls to
RDB$INTERPRET generated instead of precompiler code, however. That
is the only way to get working code from the cobol generator at
this time. The drawback to RDB$INTERPRET is that it takes longer
to run than comparable precompiled statements. A future version
of the cobol generator should work correctly with the precompiler.
You might want to check with the cobol generator people for more
details.

re: .0
I guess that you really mean Rdb V3.0 and not V5.0. This might confuse
some people.
