227.0. "Anyone benchmark System 1032 V7 against RDB V3???" by CRUISE::JBONIN () Wed Oct 26 1988 14:02
    Has their been any benchmarks done between System 1032 V7.0 and
    RDB/VMS V3.0 done lately?

    System 1032 has been a chosen product over RDB for quite some time
    now in many of the corporations large data warehouses, mostly
    because of performance with multi-million record databases.

    Someone had mentioned that RDB V3.0 has made some drastic
    performance improvements, and should now be considered as
    *the* choice.

    In my organization, it is in our charter that in the future we
    move from System 1032 to a DEC product, preferably RDB.

    I will soon be conducting a small-scale benchmark between these
    two products running under VMS V5.

    Any input appreciated,
