Rdb/VMS integrity checking wins competition with Oracle...
1. After evaluating Oracle vs Rdb, Dupont decided, at least for one project
to stick with Rdb. Reason: Constraints that allow integrity checking.
Oracle does not have that capability.
2. Integrity checking is a big issue now, bigger than performance. This
according to DACOM.
3. We should stress this fact as THE competitive advantage.
Another interesting tidbit:
At least in one case at Michelin, IBM offered a 50% discount on its 9370
in the hope to replace VAX systems (many...)
