Somehow my customer has been convinced that the Query by Form and
Query by Report packages available within Ingres are the best end
user tools available in the industry today. They have seen TEAMDATA
and don't like it (I thinks it's great!). My question is: Is anyone
familiar with these products enough to recommend an alternative
that works with Rdb databases? Doesn't RALLY generate applications
similar in nature to these?

Yes, Rally can generate applications! Try the notesfile

SMARTSTAR has a much better user interface than either Ingres products
or Rally. In addition, SMARTSTAR was originally a QUEL-based product.
So the SIgnal Technology sales force is very familiar with Ingres.
